Grading Prep Service

As the cost of grading continues to rise, it can become expensive to send every card in hoping for certain grades. We have accumulated a wealth of knowledge on PSA’s grading standards from dealing with thousands of cards over the years. If you are a bit unsure if your card has the ability to achieve the grade you want, let us give you a second opinion and also get it ready to send into PSA for you.

When we receive a request for grade prep, we will first look over the card to evaluate the centering, surface, corners, and edges. If we determine that the card likely won’t achieve the minimum grade you have specified, we will notify you and not submit it to PSA. If we feel like your card has the chance to achieve the minimum grade you have specified, we will wipe the front and back of the card to clear off any debris and fingerprints, place the card in a soft sleeve and a new card saver, and submit to PSA for grading.

Have a card graded by another company that you want opened and graded by PSA? We will open the slab then perform our pre-submission evaluation and wipe down service to prepare your card prior to submitting for grading. PLEASE NOTE that you are accepting all risks of damage to the card during opening of the slab. While DT Sportscards always handles cards with the utmost care and attention, card damage can happen when opening a slab.
